Landmark Creations, purveyors of a line of travel-inspired European hand-painted blown glass ornaments, announces the addition of the legendary Chicago Theatre Marquee to the 2007 line. The Chicago Theatre was the first lavish movie palace built in America and is a true Chicago icon. It joins architectural landmarks like the Water Tower, Hancock, Tribune , Wrigley and Sears buildings in the Landmark Chicago Collection. These landmarks are also featured in the Chicago City–in-a-Bag ornament.

Landmark designer Jo Ellen Krasnobrod has captured the vibrant six story Marquee in it’s brilliant red shade with accents of gold.

“The history of the Chicago Theatre is so richly American with performers like Duke Ellington and Frank Sinatra playing there” said Krasnobrod in a recent interview. “It’s a great addition to our line and is a fun way for people to recall the performances they have attended over the years.”

The ornaments will be found this holiday season at Macy’s North, Bloomingdale’s , Addendum and the Chicago Historical Society Gift Shop.
