Golden Tulip Hospitality Takes Over The Management Of A 70-RoomHotel In Dûsseldorf

Amersfoort (NL)/Lausanne (CH), April 2007 – Golden Tulip is proud to announce the expansion of its management portfolio in Germany with the addition of the Golden Tulip Düsseldorf City-Süd. The hotel formerly known as the Golden Tulip Grand Hotel Düsseldorf has been with Golden Tulip under a franchise agreement for more than nine years. Built in 1989 and renovated in 2001 the hotel finds itself in fantastic conditions and is conveniently located in the southern part of the city, close to the University Clinic.

Mr. Hans Kennedie, president & C.E.O. of Golden Tulip Hospitality Group, states: “The Golden Tulip Düsseldorf City-Süd is for Golden Tulip the right hotel in the right destination. Mr. Wendt, our former general manager and owner of the hotel was looking for a future for his hotel and it is with great excitement that we have entered into agreement to be able to assist in this process. Mr. Wolfgang Wendt, former General Manager and owner of the hotel, states: “This Golden Tulip is a property which has always demonstrated to be a high potential and after working nine consecutive and successful years with Golden Tulip under a franchise agreement we feel confident that Golden Tulip’s Management Formula will emphasize the hotel as a preferred four star property in terms of service, value and comfort.”

Golden Tulip currently franchises and operates over 16 hotels with over 2,000 rooms in Germany in prime locations among others Berlin, Düsseldorf, Munich and Hamburg.
