Home Fire Safety Solution Airs on Network Television - Green Fire Retardant and Mold Inhibitor Brings Relief to Californians

(PRLEAP.COM) April 18, 2007 - California - Making home fire safety a priority to brace against what could be the most flammable season in the state’s history, television producer, Paul Morra, joined the throng of homeowners using fire retardants as a first line of defense against wildfires. He had the framing on his new Malibu home treated with No Burn Wood Gard Mih—a green, non-toxic product that he highly endorses as a means of keeping his family safe. KCBS-TV and KCAL-TV field reporter Jamie Garza caught a glance of the power of this dual-acting fire retardant and mold inhibitor when an on-camera demonstration showed how a fake $1,000,000 bill failed to ignite when treated with No Burn of California’ home fire safety product.

A home fire can double in size every 60 seconds, often not giving victims enough time to escape,” said Bob Heinrich, CEO, No Burn of California and a burn victim himself. “People need to learn that the new non-toxic, non-carcinogenic green technology used in our fire retardants can prevent home fires by taking away the fuel flames need to feed on.” www.noburnca.com

Communities throughout the state are bracing for the fire season. Town Hall meetings are in full swing, with home fire safety being the hot topic. One such organization, the Fire Safe Council of Teneja, will sponsor a No Burn of California fire retardant demonstration at the Bear Creek Fire Station #75 on Clinton Keith Rd. May 21 at 6 p.m., at which two miniature houses, one treated one not, will be torched to show the powerful protective qualities of No Burn’s fire retardants. After, Peter Lent of the Riverside County Office of Emergency Services will make a presentation regarding home fire safety. He will also discuss the Esperanza Fire, which took the lives of five U.S. Forest Service firefighters.

“Safe fire retardants are a new concept to people,” said Heinrich. “We are being asked by communities throughout the state to prove to them just how powerful our home fire safety products are. But most are a quick study and all it takes is one demonstration for them to realize that preventing a home fire is a much more effective way of keeping your family safe than simply depending on smoke alarms and memorizing escape routes.”
