FRENCH 75 ‘PLAYS’ WITH GEFFEN PLAYHOUSE
(Century City Restaurant Announces Partnership with Theater Group)
(PRLEAP.COM) David Wilhelm, president and CEO of Culinary Adventures, Inc. the parent company to French 75, announces today that French 75 in Century City has partnered with Geffen Playhouse in Westwood, beginning with the 5th Annual Backstage at the Geffen Gala, whereby Academy Award® winner, Helen Mirren will be honored, on April 30, 2007. The relationship marks an exciting community outreach initiative for French 75 in Century City with special attention to the arts.
French 75 Century City will participate with Geffen Playhouse in a variety of capacities throughout the upcoming season. For the Gala, French 75 and Moët Hennessy will sponsor the bar at the Geffen Playhouse and feature some of its signature beverages such as the French 75 Champagne cocktail, recreated for this special event with Moët Rose and Hennessy Cognac. On June 13, 2007, to celebrate the opening of George Gerswhin Alone, French 75 will host the opening night party at its Century City location. Finally, beginning in September for the 2007/2008 season, the Friday Night Lounge at the Geffen Playhouse will have a French twist thanks to French 75 the official sponsor of the decidedly hip and laid back VIP lounge serving cocktail and food tasting pre-show.
French 75 will also unveil its Theater Menu that is designed to give guests a wonderful dining experience, while still getting them to the theater on time. This will be available for guests who simply ask for the Theater Menu; whether they’re attending the Geffen Playhouse, the nearby AMC Movie Theaters or any other playhouse, French 75 can accommodate any curtain call.
“Our newfound relationship with the Geffen Playhouse is a very exciting one for us,” said Wilhelm, from the Newport Beach-based headquarters. “French 75 has been home to many music talents and the arts are a passion of mine, so it’s nice when there is a synergistic relationship that taps into the community where we’re located.”
Awarded the Preservation Award by the Los Angeles Conservancy, the Award of Excellence from the Society of American Registered Architects, and the Architectural Award of Excellence by the Los Angeles Business Council for its acclaimed 2005, $19 million renovation, the Geffen Playhouse begins its 11th season in 2006/2007, enjoying its stature as a leading West Coast theater company and the crown jewel of Los Angeles theater.
