PLASTIC SURGERY PUTS ON A NEW BUSINESS FACE

May 3, 2005—As consumer’s insatiable appetite for new information on cosmetic surgery and anti-aging continues to grow, the need for added education has become a must. The Cosmetic Enhancement Expo is the first consumer trade show answering this call and has found a brand new way for this multi-billion dollar industry to do business.

“For years, cosmetic surgery was strictly a ‘word-of-mouth’ type of business,” stated Mike Colby, President of Executive GPS the show’s organizers. “With the Cosmetic Enhancement Expo, we are now taking cosmetic surgery/anti-aging on the road and bringing the information right to the people who demand it in the first place.”

In 2005, there will be two Cosmetic Enhancement Expos on opposite sides of the country. First held in the epicenter of cosmetic surgery, the CEE will be at the Los Angeles Convention Center on June 18-19, 2005 and then the show moves to the hotbed of beauty, Miami, at the Deauville Beach Resort on November 5-6, 2005.

The inaugural Cosmetic Enhancement Expo which was held last November in Los Angeles was a huge success attracting 3,000 consumers looking to buy beauty and youth.

According to Colby, the popularity of this event shows a change in paradigm in how the industry informs the public and how the public wants to receive plastic surgery information.
Many doctors are realizing that with the media spotlight shining bright on the world of anti-aging, consumers are asking for more personal interaction with the physicians they see on TV and are not willing to wait long periods of time before booking a consultation. Also, as this specialized field continues to rapidly change with improving technology and multiple cosmetic options, consumers are searching for a one stop shop to answer their many questions. So the CEE is just the forum to satisfy these demands.

This year, the CEE will provide consumers with up-close and personal experiences by visiting over 100 exhibits in the fields of cosmetic surgery, dentistry, dermatology, vision correction, hair restoration, anti-aging medicine, physical fitness and skincare. Attendees can also attend lectures on the latest advancements in these fields given by nationally recognized doctors who have appeared on popular TV shows such as “Extreme Makeover,” and “Doctor 90210.”

“As the consumers’ needs continue to change, so should the industry,” added Colby. “The CEE is the first medium to consciously change with the consumers’ interest, and this has proven to be a huge success.”
