PRPLI to Offer PR Boot Camp for Non Profits, Small Businesses, Professionals
(PRLEAP.COM) MELVILLE, NY (April 24, 2006) — Public Relations Professionals of Long Island (PRPLI), the largest professional communications group in the region, will conduct PR Boot Camp, a day of workshops on the basics of cost-effective public relations and marketing designed for non-profit organization executives, small business owners and professionals. Ned Steele, the acclaimed New York City marketing / PR pro, will be the keynote speaker.
The program, scheduled for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 26, 2007 at the Hilton Long Island/Huntington Hotel, 598 Broadhollow Rd., Melville, will also include time for networking and a walk-around trade exhibition.
Included in the program are two inter active workshops, Meet the Reporters and PR 101, which are designed to serve as an introduction to the intricacies of public relations techniques and tactics. The sessions are tailored to serve the specific needs of diverse audiences, including students, new and budding PR/marketing entrepreneurs, business/organization staff seeking to excel in brand communications, and anyone who wants to be a leader in their field. The sessions come complete with take-home reference material, and feature presentations from highly qualified guest speakers.
Luncheon keynoter Ned Steele is a popular speaker and author who informs, illuminates, and entertains national and regional audiences on such topics as publicity, the media, marketing, and practice growth. His insights have helped thousands of businesspeople and partners in professional service practices achieve business growth success.
