‘Sing Your Heart Out Ireland!’ as Directory Enquiries duo take to the streets for Temple Street Children’s University Hospital

(PRLEAP.COM) 118 50, the Directory Enquiries number, has announced the launch of a massive nationwide on-street and internet promotion, ‘Eurovisionoke’, today. This all singing, all dancing promotion will see the two quirky characters 118 and 50, from the directory enquiries’ television ad campaign, taking to the streets of the nation’s main cities, encouraging the people of Ireland to sing their favourite Eurovision song, in a nationwide ‘Eurovisionoke’. 118 50 will donate proceeds from this campaign to Temple Street Children’s University Hospital.

Having narrowly missed out on the closing date for the Irish Eurovision song entries this year, 118 and 50 took it upon themselves to record their entry ‘We’re All in Europe Now’. The lads spent a day in a Dublin recording studio, fine tuning instruments, warming up their vocal cords and recording what would have received ‘douze points’, should it have made it to the Eurovision. The track is available for downloading on the Eurovisionoke website for €1, with all proceeds going to Temple Street Children’s University Hospital.

‘All kinds of Everything’ are guaranteed, as all those budding stars out there and Eurovision enthusiasts will have a chance to sing their favourite Eurovision song on the streets with 118 and 50. Each song will be recorded and a video will be uploaded on a dedicated website, www.eurovisionoke.ie. 118 50 will make a donation to Temple Street Children’s University Hospital for every song posted on the site.

Commenting on the promotion, Orlagh Nolan, Acting CEO, the Fundraising Office at Temple Street Children’s University Hospital said: “Ireland has a long standing history with the Eurovision Song Contest, having won the competition seven times, since the first song contest in 1956. ‘Eurovisionoke’ is a humorous way for the general public to get involved in the Eurovision Song Contest, and showcase their ‘talents’ for the nation to enjoy! We are delighted that 118 50 has decided to donate funds raised from this project to Temple Street Children’s University Hospital.”

To find out where 118 and 50 will be each day, the public can tune in to the Ray D’Arcy Show on Today FM all this week.
