As part of its constant drive to recruit and retain the best talent, WAR has appointed two key new members of staff and announced further internal promotions.

Helen Piper has joined the Account Management Team as Account Director primarily to provide additional expertise to healthcare accounts. Previously employed by Proctor & Gamble, Piper worked across a number of FMCG brands for five years, based in both Sweden and the UK.

Former deputy news editor at the Cambridge Evening News, Rob Neal, joins WAR’s PR team as Senior Account Manager. His appointment increases the size of the PR department to 13, which has also seen changes to the existing team. In recognition of their hard work and successes for clients including Van Dal, Polkadot Jewellery, Virbac, Stream Foods and Corgi Toys, Lindsay Stanley has been promoted to Account Manager while Amber-Inman Kent becomes Junior Account Executive.

Alison Meadows, managing director of WAR, said: “WAR is going from strength to strength, and attracting a host of clients across our three key areas of healthcare, B2B and B2C. We warmly welcome both Rob and Helen as valuable additions to our successful team. Helen’s experience will give our dedicated healthcare team a boost, and enables us to further cater for the ever increasing number of clients in this area. Our PR team continues to grow, and Rob will be a great asset with his specialist skills and understanding of the media. We are in a stronger position than ever, with a fantastic team of more than 60 experts”.
