Independent FBO Association Announces Board Member Appointees

Boston, Massachusetts - "The IFBOA" - Independent Fixed Based Operators Association - has completed their board member appointments. Six members of the aviation community have been named to head up an association established to work on behalf of small, independent FBOs everywhere.

"I am pleased to announce the completion of appointments to the IFBOA's advisory board. We have carefully put together an outstanding group of people to oversee our association," remarked John M. Wraga, Jr., Founder and Executive Director of the IFBOA. "This step allows us to move forward with our mission to assist independent fixed base operators carry out the common objectives of IFBOA members," added Wraga.

In addition to Mr. Wraga, who brings with him more than thirty years of FBO and airport management experience, five other members have been appointed to the IFBOA board:

John Goglia is the association's President and an advisory board member. Mr. Goglia has an extensive background in the airline industry, has been involved with the NTSB, and has been operating his own FBO for the past fifteen years.

As the Manager of FBO Relations for fractional operator NetJets, board member Brian Batty has nearly twenty years experience in the airline and general aviation concerns. Mr. Batty's background also includes flight instructing, aviation safety consulting, and aircraft accident investigation.

Board member Michael J. Harvey is currently the Vice President of Global Trade Group, Inc., an aircraft parts distribution company. Mr. Harvey's expertise includes marketing and sales for domestic and international corporations.

Dianne Tarantino has more than eighteen years of general aviation experience. Currently, Ms. Tarantino is a Regional Representative for Air Routing, Inc. Her expertise in enhancing customer service standards was developed through previous positions she has held with corporate flight departments, charter operators, and FBO operators.

Kevin Walsh has more than thirty-five years of aviation service business experience including a position as Vice President of Mercury Air Centers where he was tasked with initiating the company's entry into the FBO business. Currently, Mr. Walsh is President of Onyx Aviation, LLC a company specializing in FBO business analyses.
