Laidlaw Transit Services' senior management to speak at industry conferences

(PRLEAP.COM) OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Laidlaw Transit Services recently announced that three members of its senior management are slated to speak at upcoming industry conferences. Mary Schottmiller, Laidlaw’s Vice President of Human Resources, will speak at the upcoming Women in Transportation Conference in San Diego, California on May 2-4. The theme of this conference is “Reinventing the Wheel”, and Mary will be participating in the Diversity and Professional Forum portion of the conference. She will speak to the participants on Laidlaw’s own Academy of Transit Leadership and how it demonstrates Laidlaw’s own commitment to professional development.

At the American Public Transportation Association’s 2007 Bus and Paratransit Conference May 6 – 9, Frank Ciccarella, Vice President of Safety and Security, will participate in a panel entitled “Workplace Injury Prevention.” The panelists will discuss workplace safety and how to implement a plan to reduce workplace accidents. Irwin Rosenberg, Vice President of Business Development and Government Affairs will be introducing FTA Administrator James Simpson, as Laidlaw Transit Services will be sponsoring the General Session of the conference, held in Nashville, Tennessee.
