DATELINE: BRAINTREE, MASS…South Shore Elder Services recently announced FREE “Caregiving 101” seminars for family caregivers will be held in May, June and July. The seminars will be held at South Shore Elder Services’ offices at 159 Bay State Drive in Braintree.

South Shore Elder Services is a non-profit agency that provides valuable resources and services to elders and caregivers throughout the South Shore area.

Presented in conjunction with the Family Caregiver Support Program, the Caregiver 101 seminars are scheduled for:

• May 23, 2007 from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
• June 20, 2007 from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
• July 25, 2007 from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m.

The seminars will provide information on community resources, support and respite services for elders and their families, as well as provide successful strategies for managing elder care planning and facilitating family decision making.

All attendees will receive a Caregiver 101 manual and resource and care planning booklet. In addition to gaining knowledge about successful strategies for managing elder care planning and family decision making,.
