Avanta opens first business centre in city of London

May 03, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
Avanta, the serviced office company which operates business centres across London and the UK, has opened its first location in the City of London.

Serviced office company Avanta has expanded its growing portfolio of business centres with the launch of its first operation in the City of London.

The company has agreed a lease for 55,000 sq ft with Exemplar Properties and GE Real Estate UK at 23 Austin Friars, London EC2A. The property brings Avanta’s portfolio of business centres to eleven, based in the West End and across London, and including recently acquired properties in Reading and Birmingham.

The building has recently been comprehensively refurbished by Exemplar and GE Real Estate, and will offer occupiers over 55,000 sq ft of Grade A office accommodation. Based in the heart of the City of London, 23 Austin Friars combines an elegant historic façade with a spectacular interior, offering five levels of office space around a central atrium.

As with all Avanta London business centres, the service office space is complemented by a wide range of facilities on offer, including meeting and training rooms, wi fi equipped communal areas and unbranded reception area. The meeting and training rooms at this prestigious address are also available to hire for outside companies.

Avanta’s team can tailor space to meet the individual requirements of the occupier, from two-person executive suites to entire floors of 9,000 sq ft. Organisations also have the opportunity to enjoy the prestige of the address, but without actually renting space.

Companies can boast an impressive postal address, without the cost of rent, and with no mention of Avanta, whose team will handle all mail, forwarding it the same day to a postal address of the client’s choice. The address shares the same postcode as the major players in London’s financial community including Deutsche Bank, JP Morgan, ING Barings, BP and the Bank of England.

Avanta is also opening its first business centre outside the South East, taking 10,000 sq ft at 65 Church Street in the city centre of Birmingham. The building is owned by Kenmore Property Group, who earlier this year funded a management buyout of Avanta, releasing a £100 million capital investment programme into the business.

In a further new addition to the company’s portfolio, Avanta is launching its sixth business centre in the West End, having taken an eight year lease on the 28,000 sq ft building at 271 Regent Street, from landlord Norwich Union.

Chief Executive David Alberto said: “This is the latest milestone in the company’s on-going growth strategy. We have established a portfolio of serviced offices in the West End and beyond, and I’m delighted that we’re opening our first business centre in the City.”
