Madlab Entertainment launches an Anti-Piracy Campaign

(PRLEAP.COM) (Philadelphia, PA, May 2007) Madlab Entertainment opens a new online shop featuring anti-piracy t-shirts, mugs, and other specialty items. The campaign was created to spread awareness of movie and music piracy. The designs featured are to encourage consumers to eliminate the purchases of pirated CDs and DVDs. The shop can be found at http://www.cafepress.com/madlabshop.

The purpose of the campaign also encourages filmmakers and musicians to help spread the message to stop the piracy of movies and music. The campaign is spearheaded by the CEO of Madlab, Ms. Nicole Ayers. "Piracy is illegal and it should be stopped. It has negative effects on the motion picture industry, particularly independent filmmaking", says Ayers. In 2005 there was an estimated loss of $5.4 billion due to DVD piracy.

The shop also features limited edition paraphernalia especially for musicians. The design is inspired by the drawing titled "The Capitalist".

Madlab Entertainment produces independent short and feature films. Their most recent film, Lapse of Fascia won the Gold Bone Award for Best Urban Film at the Bar Bones Script 2 Screen Film Festival.
