Nifty Comics Set to Release BITE ME, FANBOY on DVD

May 13, 2005 (PRLEAP.COM) Entertainment News
BITE ME, FANBOY tells the story of Nick Norton, the ultimate comic book fan. When Nick gets dumped by his girlfriend, he just can't understand why. It’s not like it's the first time RACHEL has caught him wearing panties and parading around like Green Lantern. Broken-hearted, Nick heads to his favorite comic store in search of the sympathy of his friends — what he gets is something completely DIFFERENT.

Co-written by Mat Nastos (Elfquest, Stinger (out soon on DVD from Shoreline Entertainment) and 15 years of storyboards for film/tv) and Shon Bury (Black OPs, Power Pack, Superman Adventures), the film was shot on miniDV and will be released independently through Nifty Comics (www.niftycomics.com) this summer. "FANBOY is the first in what I hope to be a series of low-budget, high fun films made for comic fans by comic fans," says Nastos. "We plan to release at least one such film per year, all aimed squarely at the comic book market."
