Catch the excitement of one of the most stunning benefit events in the nation! Western River Expeditions and the Moab Adventure Center are putting on the first annual “Raft for the Cure” event in Moab, UT for the benefit of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Saturday June 30, 2007 marks a fun-filled Saturday of river rafting, food and live music. Participant will be able to choose from half-day or full-day rafting trips through the magnificent red rock cliffs and canyons of Southern Utah on the Colorado River. In efforts to raise money for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation, the Moab Adventure Center will be donating 50% of all the day’s proceeds to the local affiliate. You can take a day trip down the Colorado River, have a BBQ Dinner and listen to live bands play the night away, all while joining the fight against breast cancer.

“We wanted to be part of the fight against breast cancer,” says Marketing Director Ryan Hutchings. “I think the Race for the Cure events around the nation are absolutely wonderful, and I love the camaraderie these Races create for all those involved. We wanted to give everyone another fun activity to attend together.”

Moab is a world-renown hot-spot for tourists and outdoor adventure lovers. Home to both Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park, the famous Slickrock Bike Trail, the mighty Colorado River and the beautiful La Sal Mountains, Moab does is not lacking in the “activity department”.
