MobileFit Intelligent Fitness Training Systems Launches as a Primary Workout Partner for YMCAs at the YMCA Expo Conference in Dallas This Week
(
PRLEAP.COM) (Louisville, Ky.)—MobileFit, developed by Adaptive Technologies, LLC, unveils its latest generation of a virtual training system today, complete with tracking and monitoring for both individual workout members and YMCA staff. The company is exhibiting (Booth #300) and running demos at the YMCA Expo Conference in Dallas this week. A number of Ys across the country have already invested in the technology.
“We are excited to be a part of this event, and we intend to change the way a YMCA thinks about its wellness programs. There is an immediate return on investment with MobileFit for members and for staff. Our unique tracking and monitoring technology allows performance and progress to be documented and seen in real time. We will be adding our nutrition planning system next month,” said Lance Perkins, founder of Adaptive Technologies.
MobileFit will be shown to interested YMCAs through scheduled demo requests at the Dallas’ Town North YMCA. MobileFit includes multiple training mediums, such as MP3 technology.
MobileFit users have the freedom to choose their course of action, and see their results before and after every workout. Users choose programs that suit their special needs, such as weight loss or even sports specific training. Facility personnel can track and monitor individuals and overall facility traffic through its backend systems in easy-to-understand charts, graphs and reports. Most facilities will see a 20 to 50 percent increase in workouts within 90 days of the MobileFit system announcement, Perkins indicated.
YMCAs already using the system have demonstrated the breakthrough retention capabilities. “We had an expectation that MobileFit would not be used by seniors, but that was not the case. They embraced MobileFit and they wanted to use it, almost immediately upon inquiry,” said Branch Director Andrea Escobedo, YMCA of Northwest Florida. “And, longer term members are re-energized by MobileFit’s capability to design workouts around their demands for certain types of results, such as sports training or weight loss,” she said. “It gets them out of their rut of doing the same exercises, since it assigns them a routine each time they come in, based on their goals,” explained Escobedo.
"We believe it increased membership, identified members needing support in workouts, and increased retention for those who used it,” added Michael Bodenhausen, executive director of Idaho Falls YMCA.
