Sanaga LLC has launched on April 15, 2005 an Internet video-on-demand service under the brand Mooziko (www.mooziko.com). Afro-Caribbean Music-on-demand marks the first phase of the media company's plans to launch a wider choice of Internet video-on-demand services in 2005.
As the burgeoning Afro-Caribbean DVD market has proven, content can find new life and new revenue streams through ancillary forms of distribution. Mooziko will provide, even beyond the traditional DVD release, an opportunity for Afro-Caribbean content to reach its target audiences and fight rampant offline and online piracy thanks to our DRM-based technology while also giving users the flexibility of per-video rentals without having to pay for an entire box set.

Mooziko will be an online music videos download service and new distribution channel for the Afro-Caribbean music industry. The Mooziko service will offer broadband customers a broad selection of feature digital-quality music videos including new releases, classics and more from the vast libraries of major African & Caribbean content providers. The Mooziko service will enable customers to rent video clips for a limited time on a transactional basis and legally download them to their computer. Consumers will be able to store downloaded movie clips for up to 7 days. Once started, a music video can be watched as many times as one would like within the 7 days timeframe.

The Mooziko service is 100% focused on the Afro-Caribbean Diaspora market. It is a geographically fragmented market that can’t be adequately and sustainably served by traditional media outlets. We believe that the formidable value proposition of paying a reasonable rental fee for access to a considerable library of DVD-quality Afro-Caribbean music-related video content that can be played on PC, TV and portable devices will spark a torrent of interest in services such as Mooziko.
