Convention Strategy Signs RFID Distribution Sales Agreement

It’s expected that within three years the RFID label will be a prominently implemented technology within the meetings industry. The specific technology being marketed by Convention Strategy utilizes a 13.56MHz frequency, which produces a higher success read-rate than a 915MHz frequency around water and metal. An encoded computer chip is adhered with flexible adhesive to that back of attendee badges, and the badge’s information is read by strategically placed readers throughout a meeting space. But, having hardware available is the simple part; the difficult part is deciding upon and acquiring the appropriate “middleware” to translate the attendee data and compile meaningful reports.

By coupling the Avante RFID technology with Convention Strategy’s suite of meeting management services, corporate and association clients will now have the ability to experience the benefits of using RFID for exhibit lead retrieval, session control access, continuing education unit (CEU) tracking, cyber-cafe access, crowd flow tracking, traffic pattern reporting, post-show attendee demographic analysis, and customized exhibitor fulfillment.
