Telcora - Another Success in Fraud Management Training

The 3-day training course was attended by 25 delegates coming from fixed line and mobile operators mainly from the Philippines and was a huge success. “It was really beneficial and I learned new and better ways to tackle fraud.” says Hussain Shihab, Fraud and RA Asst. Manager of Dhiraagu, Maldives. Feedback from the delegates was very positive with high scores being given by the delegates for all sessions. Presentations of particular interest included Prepaid Fraud, Bypass and Interconnect Fraud and Building a Fraud Management Strategy but the favourites were the practical demonstrations of the tools and techniques used by the fraudsters to attack prepaid and postpaid services.

In private sessions outside of the training room and only for those delegates wishing to participate, Telcora gave security assessments of the delegates own SIMs and scratch cards demonstrating how their own scratch cards would be attacked by a fraudster and showing SIM clone attacks on the delegates SIMs.

Telcora’s expertise in scratch card supplier security audits and scratch card testing was also invaluable in helping participants recognise the need to review or improve the security arrangements of their own pre-paid services.
