MEDIUM RARE JOINS JAMAN IN PROMOTIONAL AGREEMENT
(
PRLEAP.COM) SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.-MAY 28, 2007— Medium Rare, an online and television broadcast organization based in San Francisco is finalizing a promotional arrangement with Jaman.com today. The agreement is being formed to promote the Medium Rare website and content featuring interviews with noted and emerging filmmakers and actors of the commercial and independent movies and television industry who discuss a myriad of topics relating to women and filmmakers of color working in the industry. Jaman is the San Mateo based company known for creating a unique, high definition movie distribution infrastructure for worldwide audiences passionate about social cinema. With this agreement, Jaman add an online presence comprised of an informed and knowledgeable forum and ‘blogmunity’ on the topic of diversity in films and television. Together the two anticipate broadening the scope and reach of social cinema and television.
“Jaman is innovating how people obtain and view films,“ said Kevin Robinson, founder of Medium Rare. “They’re achieving this by sharing the best in social cinema and intelligent films from all over the world with audiences who appreciate and care about these films and who want access to thought provoking movies not readily available in today’s big budget, commercial movie industry.”
Robinson explained that diversity in films and television is vital given the evolving demographics here in the United States and abroad. “Highlighting the presence of African, Asian, Latino, Native American and numerous other cultures who are filmmakers, television producers, screenwriters, etc., and their works of course, not to mention the vast array of personal stories and experiences derived from these cultures should be expected and desired, rather than a foot note within the overall scope of movie and television,” Robinson added. “This is why the relationship with Jaman is important, it gives us both the chance to share well done films and television with audiences everywhere who desire to see them.”
Founded in 2003, Medium Rare is sponsored by a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. It specializes in highlighting the achievements of women and people of color in the movie and television industry. Medium Rare strives to bring to the public dynamic interviews and review works by directors, actors, writers, and producers who traditionally have been overshadowed and/or overlooked.
