Welch, Ph.D., president of BlabberMouth PR, the only public relations agency to offer 100 percent senior-level representation, recently spoke at Texas State University, San Marcos’ public relations campaign course. The course was devoted to assisting senior-level communications majors to learn the pragmatic application of PR strategy and technique.
The presentation was titled “PR Campaigns: Launches That Soar,” and dealt with the application of public relations strategy and execution of corporate campaigns, including the development of media-ready messaging, media lists, pitches, press releases, articles and speaking opportunities. Real-world experience was highly emphasized, demonstrating how execution and theory differ.
Lecturer Chuck Kaufman, who instructs students in the PR campaign course, said, “Dr. Welch is a delightful instructor, and the students were very much engaged in her presentation. She used examples that made the execution of public relations campaigns relevant to every student. Her responses to their questions created a dialogue about practical issues in their chosen profession.”
