RadioSherpa.com Expands to the West Coast
(
PRLEAP.COM) Boston, MA June 5, 2007 - RadioSherpa, a company that develops innovative HD Radio applications, announced today the launch of its HD Radio Guide website (
www.radiosherpa.com) for San Francisco. RadioSherpa helps users find interesting music and content freely available through HD Radio broadcasts. RadioSherpa makes it convenient to explore HD Radio stations across the country through a visual guide that shows what is playing on each station.
"We are glad to finally be on the West Coast, and in particular, in San Francisco", said Stephanie Norton, co-founder of RadioSherpa. "In addition to being a large radio market, San Francisco is home to many early technology adopters. Our website is just the beginning of many services we will be making available to radio fans in the coming months. Being able to offer these new services for radio stations in Silicon Valley’s backyard will be critical for early adoption. We also feel that San Francisco radio stations have some of the most interesting programming available on their new HD2 radio channels. We want to help raise awareness of this exciting new content."
RadioSherpa, which launched initially in its home market of Boston, is now available in three cities. The company plans on continuing its expansion across the country in the coming months. Through the latest MySherpa feature, users can mix-and-match their favorite radio stations from around the country on a single dashboard.
"Improving the discovery and navigation of new content on HD Radio is our primary objective", Norton said. "Our expansion to more cities is a result of end users asking for this service in their home markets."
