LAS VEGAS DISC JOCKEY JOHN DOTE' PERFORMS FOR HARLEY DAVIDSON (702) 649-6026

May 31, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Entertainment News
Monday night is known as a "Dark Night" around the world in the entertainment field. The clubs are usually dry if not closed. But not in Las Vegas. The Harley Davidson Cafe' on the Vegas Strip was in full throttle when Las Vegas Disc Jockey John Dote' hosted a party for the men and women of the United States Armed Forces. Hitting 1000cc's and a 1000 watts of horse power, Dote' is no stranger to the armed forces. He has sold out concerts to over 10,000 spectators as an entertainer and lead vocalist at Nellis Airforce Base in North Las Vegas. He was also the host of NightBeat In Las Vegas, playing the biggest hits from the biggest stars as seen on the UPN-SCREENGEMS network.
It was no co-incident that he was invited to be the Master of Ceremonies to the likes of The Lieutenant Colonel and Captain of The United States arm forces. Then, the big surprize of the evening. Rock star Cher made an appearance to the delight of the audience sparking up romances with the men in uniform. Dote' himself was quite surprized and not believing his own eyes, went up to Cher and placed both hands on her hairdo and said "This Is Really You"! Her performances included "Believe", "The Shoop Shoop Song" and "I Got You Babe".

Harley Davidson was the first motorcycle used by the United States Arms Forces and is used by many local police departments throughout the country. And motorcycle music was the theme of the evening. So Dote' brought in the thunderous sounds of Steppin Wolf and the classic hit from the motion picture Easy Rider "Born To Be Wild", Jimi Hendrix and "Fire" and other classic motorcycle themes. Dote' is scheduled to re-appear at the David in the month of December and bring his upbeat tempo to the cycle cafe' on the strip.

Not far across the way, Celine Dion continues to sell out her Caesar's Palace crowds and Wayne Newton has signed to return to a major hotel for up and coming performances. It is not clear where he will perform. Barry Manilow signed the largest paid contarct for his concerts in Las Vegas while Cher's "Farewell Tour" remains the longest departure of a rock star going in its fourth year. Earlier this month, Dote' was invited to play the drums for the Govenor of Nevada and the mayor of Las Vegas. However, Dote' who was the drummer from the hit tv series "Hawaii Five-0" declined the invitation.

That is this week in Las Vegas Entertainment news around the globe, staying "World's ahead of the curve".
