RALEIGH, N.C. - Robbie Ferris, president and CEO of SFL + a Architects, has announced that the firm has received the 2006 “Business of the Year” award from the Cumberland County Business Council. Presented annually, the Cumberland County Business Council “Business of the Year” award recognizes the business that best demonstrates outstanding business achievements and leadership, as well as a continued role within the community. SFL + a was selected from three finalists in large part due to its downtown revitalization efforts and its K-12 work throughout the state of North Carolina. Downtown projects for the firm include the Cameo Art House Theatre, loft apartments and the Fayetteville Festival Park, while its K-12 design work includes Jack Britt High School, and a number of other North Carolina educational facility developments.

SFL + a Architects was presented with the award at the Cumberland County Business Council’s annual dinner held May 19 at the Crown Expo Center in Fayetteville, N.C. Over 400 attendees were in attendance.
