Famesource Puts Users on TV

(PRLEAP.COM) LOS ANGELES–
FameTV, a satellite TV channel on the Sky Broadcasting Network, has partnered with Famesource.com to broadcast the website’s content, the companies recently announced. FameTV will choose which media to debut from a selection of user-created media uploaded to Famesource, the Los Angeles-based internet company said. Famesource stands out from the online media crowd by appealing to a niche market of talent. Anyone and everyone that thinks they can sing, dance, act, draw, play sports, or be a comedian, is encouraged to join and build up their fan base.

"This is definitely a step in the right direction," said Anthony Zanontian, co-founder of Famesource. "This is in-line with Famesource’s strategy of continuing to find new outlets for our users to gain exposure," added Allen Vartazarian, also co-founder of Famesource. FameTV accepts user-generated content directly via cell phones and their own website.

People who submit a video clip or picture directly by phone are charged a little under $3 per upload. However, Famesource users get this service for free. When media is uploaded to Famesource, users have the option to choose to upload to Fame TV. FameTV is available to an audience of over 8 million viewers, according to Famesource.

While giants like YouTube and MySpace have an immense following, Famesource has one thing that they do not. "We have a very concentrated niche in the social networkingworld and are committed to providing our users with the specific tools they need to get the exposure they deserve. I think it’s just another reason FameTV wanted to do a deal with Famesource" said Allen.

The aspiring talent found on Famesource dream about making it to the small screen; the mutualistic partnership between Famesource and FameTV helps make that dream a reality.
