The School of Imagination announced today a ribbon-cutting ceremony that will be held on June 1st at 11:30 a.m. on campus at 6444 Sierra Court in Dublin. The Mayor of Dublin, Janet Lockhart, will do the honors and will recognize the community for coming together to make the School of Imagination a reality for all children in the Amador Valley.

The School of Imagination provides individualized programs that are tailored to the care and learning needs of all children. The time-tested programs combined with the lowest teacher to student ratio in the Tri-Valley area, allow each child to develop the skills and confidence to succeed in all educational settings.

Charlene Sigman, founder of The School of Imagination, is an industry-pioneer in the field of education – creating a school that is designed to meet the needs of all children. In 2006, she received the prestigious Jefferson Award. The Jefferson Awards were established in 1972 by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, U.S. Senator Robert Taft, Jr. and Sam Beard as a Nobel Prize that honors individuals for extraordinary public and community service. “The local community has really come together to help make the School of Imagination a reality for all our children,” said Mayor Janet Lockhart. “It is great to see what can be accomplished when we work together.”

Community Spirit in Action
The support of family, friends and corporate sponsors has played an instrumental role in the successful launch of the School of Imagination. Special recognition goes to community sponsors and includes:

• Baja Fresh
• Borg Redwood Fences
• Cadence Design Systems
• Fremont Bank
• Rotary Club SFO
• Starbucks
• Ventana Public Relations
• iTalent Solutions

“The ribbon-cutting ceremony marks the beginning of a wonderful new adventure in learning,” said Charlene Sigman, founder the School of Imagination. “We owe thanks to a number of local businesses who helped make this a reality; without them, we could not have done it.”
