SPATE magazine talks with DJ Khaled about his new album

SPATE magazine got a chance to talk with DJ Khaled about his new album "We The Best" in stores June 12 2007 on Koch records. With many power artists on his album many expect this to be a big seller. With artists like Akon, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, TI, Birdman, T Pain, and many more. Practically the whole industry is on DJ Khaleds album. His second album as an artist the first album selling 950,000 worldwide. Khaled and Fat Joe go back 15 years. Khaled and Fat Joe are still running hard together and they also have artist Tony Sunshine coming with a new album soon.

About DJ Khaled

DJ Khaled is a DJ on an urban-formatted radio station in South Florida, WEDR 99 Jamz, weekdays from 6pm to 11pm in the TakeOver with K. Foxx.

A regular feature on illegal underground radio stations, DJ Khaled has, at various times in his career, gone by the monikers of "the Arab Attack" (discontinued shortly after 9/11/2001), "Big Dog Pitbull", "Terror Squadian", "the Beat Novocain", "the Don Dada", "Mr. Miami", etc., although most listeners still know him as DJ Khaled.

On September 7, 2006, he was arrested on South Beach for possession of marijuana. Khaled made bail the following day [1].

Khaled recently announced on the BET New Year's Notorized show that he was working on his sophomore album entitled "We the Best," scheduled to be released summer of 2007. The first single, We Takin' Over, was released 5/14/2007. It features artists Akon, T.I., Lil' Wayne, Birdman, Fat Joe, and Rick Ross.
