The technology team at St. Joseph's Villa reported a smooth and trouble-free transition to DayPoint Enterprise version 3.0 which provides the non-profit easy-to-use calendaring functionality that seamlessly unites users throughout the 82 acre campus.

Prior to purchasing DayPoint Enterprise version 2.0 in May 2004, the campus used a myriad of systems to track employees' and resources' schedules. Keeping those many schedules synchronized and up-to-date was an impossible task. Today, St. Joseph's Villa relies on the DayPoint Enterprise team collaboration system for managing calendar activities for multiple groups spread across 13 campus buildings and 4 off-campus locations, allowing all the schedules to be managed in one place. These groups, comprising more than 160 active users, view DayPoint Enterprise daily to review the main campus calendar which indicates important times and dates for meetings, events and schedules. Access to DayPoint Enterprise is integrated with the campus's network log-in so that once users log-in, they can seamlessly enter DayPoint Enterprise without another log-in.

As network administrator, Mr. Coleman led the effort to extend DayPoint Enterprise's native feature set to address specific needs of the organization. Among the customizations Mr. Coleman accomplished was the complete integration of DayPoint functionality into the campus's Intranet, so that DayPoint capability appears just as all the other items on the Intranet's menu. This process was made easy because of DayPoint's ability to be customized in multiple ways by novice users as well as expert programmers. The users also rely on DayPoint Enterprise to manage and use forms for purposes such as classified advertising as well as functionality for task management.
