Writer Offers Investment Opportunity in Great American Novel

(PRLEAP.COM) Las Vegas, NV, June 2007 — Mark Jacobson, writer, marketer, public relations expert and owner of IDoEverythingWrite.com, has come up with a novel way to publish the Great American novel. He is gone to the Internet seeking grassroots investors to become part of the success of his yet to be titled novel.

"I’ve been a writer for over 30 years," says Jacobson. "I started a company that touts itself as a one-stop shop for writing. It occurred to me that the best way to promote the company was to write, promote and market a book. The idea of utilizing the Internet as a way of funding the project came about because I kept hearing about websites where people solicited money just to get free money. I was surprised and shocked to see that they were actually receiving money from perfect strangers. The people asking for money were not in dire need of money. This was not charity, this was novelty. I asked myself what would happen if I did the same thing while giving something back."

Jacobson came up with an idea that would allow him to write a novel with the help of investors. His idea was to solicit money through a website with the promise of 50% profit for every dollar invested in his project.

"I’m going to use all my skills in marketing and public relations to promote and market the book. I’m going to self publish through an online publish on-demand company. I plan on creating a website to promote the book. The website will also have a special ‘benefactors’ section listing all the people who have invested any amount in this endeavor. I consider any investor my partner and I hope this will be a fun ride."
