(PRLEAP.COM) Burlington, VT - June 11, 2007 - PixDrop is proudly launching its new MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) service that allows people to send pictures from their computers to Verizon Wireless, Sprint, and AT&T cell phones by using www.PixDrop.com. As picture messaging rapidly becomes more popular and more handsets become picture capable, PixDrop is the first dedicated service to allow users to send picture messages for free from the Internet. PixDrop makes it fast and easy to share pictures with mobile phone users.

On a typical day, PixDrop is already sending more than 500 free picture messages to mobile handsets, after running a private beta test in early May. PixDrop is currently working to expand its services to other major cell phone carriers across the United States.

PixDrop has been developed to be very user friendly and simple to use, only requiring the recipient’s mobile phone number and the picture a user wishes to send. No registration is necessary to send free picture messages with PixDrop at this time. Users can send jpeg, gif, tiff, bmp, and png images up to 2 megabytes through PixDrop.
