New Phd Degree in Organizational Leadership Program Announced by Eastern University

Eastern University has created its first Phd degree in organizational leadership program. The program reflects an institutional readiness built on years of innovation and academic strength, and is scheduled to begin in September 2007.

The Phd degree in organizational leadership program will equip leaders in business, education and nonprofit sectors through interdisciplinary studies and original research to effectively engage in the transformation of their organizations, as practitioners and scholars.

Students from business, education and non-profits will study together through the Phd degree in organizational leadership program's core curriculum, followed by focused studies and research in their respective disciplines.

This Phd degree in organizational leadership program is focused on the educational needs of leaders in business, education and nonprofit management, and rests on the extensive work of prior experience. Market research, technologically savvy delivery systems, inventive partnerships, strong and enthusiastic faculty and extensive library resources all contribute to this exemplary course of study. The program is integrated with Eastern University's core identity, which affirms the centrality of Christ in its global views, concern for the poor, collaborative learning style, critical thought and entrepreneurial thinking.

Several days of residency at the beginning of each term followed by 10 weeks of on-line work are required for completion of the Phd degree in organizational leadership program. Students take 18 credits per year; three terms per year, two courses per term.
