Lehman, Lee & Xu Signs Scholarship And Clinic Agreement With China University Of Politics And Law

(PRLEAP.COM) Beijing, China ¨C June 13, 2007 ¨C LEHMAN, LEE & XU, signed the Lehman Law Scholarship and Clinic Agreement with the China University of Politics and Law (CUPL) on June 1, 2007. The agreement establishes a program in which three students will be provided a scholarship, and seven others will be given the opportunity to participate in a paid internship during the students’ summer vacation. The agreement was signed by Wang Weiguo for CUPL, who was instrumental in drafting the new Bankruptcy Law.

Mr. Edward Lehman has an avid interest in furthering China¡¯s youth development, particularly in the legal field. Mr. Lehman hopes that the program will not only benefit the students involved but that the clinic will also provide a model in which the university may cooperate with other law firms.
