AdvancingWomen.com Launches Career Forum, Job Boards
(
PRLEAP.COM) AdvancingWomen.com,
http://www.advancingwomen.com,
the first website to help women break through the “glass ceiling”, providing career strategy , job search, tools and resources to support women’s career goals, has launched two new platforms for women to mentor each other in the workplace and to support each other in work-life balance issues. Free Job Boards/ Forums allows employers to post jobs, and job seekers to search for jobs either by job type/description or location at no cost to either.
Career/Job Network, allows users to post profiles , blogs , photos, videos and launch or join forums on career/jobs and balancing career and family. AdvancingWomen.com’s goal is to provide platforms for women to develop strategies to advance their careers and to share fresh ideas on how to cope with the conflicting demands of career and family. For every working woman—and particularly for those who aspire to major and implicitly very time-consuming careers—the balance between work and family is an issue that must be addressed and resolved. Historian Ruth Rosen observes, “American women have won the right to “have it all,” but only if they “did it all.” Whether it’s learning how to outsource repetitive chores, developing a support group to share obligations, taking time off to recharge or when a woman’s family needs her, this forum provides a space for women to share their concerns and strategies to deal with the balancing dilemma.
AdvancingWomen.com’s founder and President/CEO, Gretchen Glasscock, notes: “Most women in the work place are faced with the challenge to get equal pay and the opportunity to be promoted to the top levels of management. The most effective strategy to meet this challenge is women networking together and mentoring each other. Our new products deepen our commitment to ‘level the playing field for women’ by creating a women’s space for women to mentor each other in the workplace and help form strategies to bring balance into their lives.”
