RC ART, Inc. (www.rcarttoys.com) today announced that the RC ART Color Bug will be available from toy retailers in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom beginning in September 2007. Retailers that will carry the RC ART Color Bug include specialty toy stores across the United States, Target.com, eToys.com, select HobbyTown stores, and toy retailers throughout the United Kingdom and Canada. A full list of participating retailers will be available on the RC ART web site this summer.

The RC ART Color Bug is a ladybug-shaped RC toy that draws on art surfaces using markers that snap into the toy. Using the toy’s RC controller, kids create colorful art by steering turns and spins of the motorized Color Bug providing a fun, action-packed toy.

The RC Art Color Bug was recently featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show in Oprah’s “Next Big Idea” program, which is the culmination of Oprah and QVC’s nationwide search for the best new product ideas in the United States. Out of a field of more than 6,000 entrants, RC ART’s Color Bug Radio-Controlled Art toy was selected as one of only eight products to feature on the “Next Big Idea” broadcast, which has become one of Oprah’s most popular annual shows.

Oprah’s search for the best new product ideas of 2007 began in February, when she teamed up with QVC, the world's largest televised shopping network, and launched her search for the next big idea. Over the next three months, more than 6,000 innovative men and women traveled to conventions in Chicago, Los Angeles and Philadelphia to pitch their products. In May, RC ART’s founder Gwen Yuffa joined seven other finalists in traveling to the Harpo Productions studios in Chicago and presenting their innovative products to Oprah, a panel of celebrity judges and a live studio audience.

RC ART also offers accessories for the Color Bug that enhance the play experience for children and parents, including an inexpensive playpad with integrated walls that holds refillable sheets of large paper designed for the size of the RC ART Color Bug making it an ideal canvas for Color Bug creations. Additional accessories include interchangeable shells that allow children to customize the look of their toy, including color schemes that appeal to both boys (hot rod flames) and girls (purple shell with stars). Children can also design their own shells with a scribble shell that can be customized using markers provided in the package.

The RC ART Color Bug includes the Color Bug, a controller and 4 washable markers. The Color Bug is designed for children ages 4 and up. The suggested retail price is $24.99.
