BRIGHTION, MI- GMR Krueger’s new medical division, Automated Medical Systems (AMS), announced today that it has licensed world-wide, exclusive rights to a technology invented by Mr. Daryl Bell-Greenstreet of California. With the assistance of CJPS Enterprises, LLC (www.cjps-enterprises.com), AMS is in the process of obtaining several other products of interest.

This innovative technology is for an automatic medication dispenser that is capable of distributing medication according to a specific schedule. The device reminds the patient or the caregiver of the appropriate time for taking the next dosage.

GMR Krueger, an automotive supplier for over 70 years, has been successful working with OEMs providing them manufacturing and engineering solutions. The company’s expertise in automation is being leveraged to penetrate the medical industry, and AMS is putting in place systems to commercialize this product line, as well as others. Fred Schoville, AMS President states, “We are excited to use our past experience to progress on to new ventures. We have been pleased to find local experts to assist with this endeavor.”

GMR Krueger had called on CJPS Enterprises, LLC to find ways to diversify into new markets, specifically the medical industry. The high-growth strategy firm, known for its speed and results, identified, negotiated and helped close this transaction in record time.

This assistance was made possible through the 21st Century Jobs Fund Life Sciences Pipeline, managed by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and the State of Michigan through one of Governor Jennifer Granholm’s growth initiatives. This contract tasks CJPS Enterprises, LLC to help Michigan companies grow into the life sciences.
