First man enrolls for Parent Coaching program of ACPI – coaches make better Fathers!
(
PRLEAP.COM) Fort Worth, TX - June 16, 2007. Kevin Heath, a
parent coach in the making, believes coaching will make him a better father. Mr. Heath, the first man to enroll in the parent coaching program at Academy for Coaching Parents International (ACPI), is hoping to gain something more from his studies than a new career skill.
"I definitely intend to use my certification for coaching." says Kevin Heath. "But before I start
parent coaching professionally, I want to be the best parent I can be. I feel that coaching classes at
www.acpi.biz will surely help me achieve that."
One of the primary reasons that drove Mr. Heath to undergo
parent coaching was his aspiration to become a finer parent. "Building a positive relationship with your children is most important," he asserts. "I think the classes will help me become not only a better parent, but also a better person. The study sessions make me think about my behavior and the kind of behaviors I want my children to cultivate. By giving them a positive role model, I want my children to grow up to be more desirable and worthier people."
Kevin Heath, a computer programmer by profession, and his wife Julie have two children. They own and head two websites,
www.more4kids.com and
www.more4kids.info, which they launched after the birth of their second child. Like her husband, Julie also wants to do the best she can as a parent. For her that means staying home with the children at all times. From this desire came the idea for a personalized gift business that would feature innovative products, services and information for families. Thus the websites.
Upon completion of his
parent coaching certification from
Academy for Coaching Parents International, Mr. Heath will be prepared to help parents improve their family lives, especially fathers.
"As a father of two children, I have observed that some of us fathers are not as close to the children as mothers are especially during their formative years," he remarks. "The kids tend to relate more to their mothers which makes filial bonding difficult for us. I think it is very important that the children connect well with both the parents during growing years. Coaching will help me do that and I can further help other fathers."
