LOS ANGELES (June, 2007) – YSA Productions’ film, Young, Single & Angry, a raucous comedy about dating in Los Angeles has just released their official motion picture soundtrack. This cutting edge soundtrack features music from Bright Orange Records artists including Simon Lynge, Jason Whitton, Sterling Witt, Sue Paine, Uni, Days Between Stations, Brian Cram, Alpha Cat and Bright Orange Records Producer Jon Mattox. Artists also included on the soundtrack are The Young Dubliners, Erinn Williams, Heather Stewart, Jim Marcotte and 7K.

“There’s something for everyone on this soundtrack,” said Jon Mattox, owner of Bright Orange Records. “We’ve featured the finest Los Angeles indie artists who cover diverse genres in music. The CD covers practically everything; alternative, jazz, country and good ole’ rock.” From Jason Whitton’s cover of The Cowsills 1967 hit “The Rain, The Park and Other Things”, the husky-lament of Sterling Witt’s “Gone Outside”, Brian Cram’s hysterical take on sobriety in “31 Days”, Heather Stewart’s bitter bluesy “Lonely Woman”, Simon Lynge’s eerie and lovely surrender to love “Beautiful Way To Drown”, Jon Mattox’s rage against “Junk Mail” and his complex, yet peaceful “Walking Through The Night, Erinn Williams’ haunting “Darker Shade of Blue”, The velvet-voiced Sue Paine’s “Love Should Be Easy”, The techno porn sounds of Days Between Station’s “Radio Song”, intense, sexy power rock of 7k’s “Most of This”, the gut wrenching “Everyday You Break My Heart” by Alpha Cat, Uni’s lounge-lizardy “Pied Spider”, Jim Marcotte’s desperately lonely “Flutter Like A Dove”, and the tragic and rocky “She Don’t Know” an original song recorded specifically for the film by The Young Dubliners.

Filmed on a meager budget in borrowed residences and abandoned bars all over Los Angeles, Young, Single & Angry is about Taylor, who since childhood has been told that marriage is the most important event in every woman's life. Now she's 35 and single with no prospects in sight. As Taylor and her friends wade through the mire of the Los Angeles dating pool, they realize a lot more is involved in finding the right mate as they meet co-dependents, addicts and sexual deviants. With surprising plot twists, quirky characters, and offbeat humor, Young, Single & Angry is the “American Pie” for 30-somethings.

Young, Single & Angry is produced by Cathleen Alexander and YSA Productions L.L.C. The film is directed by Richard Waterhouse and stars Sarah Blevins, Jamie Anderson, Heather Stewart and Jesse Burch. You can visit the movie website in June 2007 at www.youngsingleandangry.com .
