RALEIGH, N.C. – Trinity Academy of Raleigh, a K-12 college preparatory school community located in North Raleigh, has announced that its head of school, Dr. Robert Littlejohn, was selected as the keynote speaker for The Geneva School’s 2007 graduation ceremony held on May 25 in Winter Park, Fla. Dr. Littlejohn addressed this year’s graduates on the fundamental standards set by classical schools such as The Geneva School and Trinity Academy of Raleigh, and spoke at length to the reputation of this education in both America and abroad. Founded in 1993, The Geneva School provides a classical-based education to students grades preK-12. During the past 13 years, the school has expanded its enrollment to include over 460 students, as well as nearly 80 administration, faculty and support staff members, led by headmaster Robert Ingram.

About Robert Littlejohn, Ph.D.:
Robert Littlejohn, Ph.D., is head of school of Trinity Academy of Raleigh, a K-12 college preparatory school community located in North Raleigh. Dr. Littlejohn’s career spans 25 years in K-12 and higher education, during which he has served in a variety of teaching and administrative capacities. Littlejohn earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biology at Baylor University, his master of science in biology at Stephen F. Austin State University and his Ph. D. in Botany from Washington State University. As a Ph.D. biologist, Dr. Littlejohn has co-authored two college biology laboratory texts, Exploring the Living World: Laboratory Studies in Biology Fifth Edition (1990) and General Biology: Laboratory Studies in Biology (2001). He has published more than 25 reports of original research in the fields of ecology, plant physiology, biochemistry and science educational theory since 1980. He is also co-author of Wisdom and Eloquence: A Christian Paradigm for Classical Learning (2006), a treatise on Christian liberal arts education that he wrote with Charles T. Evans, headmaster at Regents of School of Austin, Tx.
