Lehman, Lee & Xu Attends SPAR's Appreciation Party

(PRLEAP.COM) Lehman Lee & Xu Senior Foreign Legal Counselor Janet Yong, and Attorney Jipeng Cui, as well as Senior Partner Richard Wageman and Managing Director and co-founder Edward Lehman attended an appreciation party for those who helped the SPAR supermarket chain establish operations in China.

The party was held at the prestigious Antanu Bar, in the Signal Tower on the Bund. The location afforded a view of the Huangpu River, where an advertising boat could be seen displaying messages of gratitude from SPAR to its professional service providers, suppliers and clients. Also in attendance were Chairman of SPAR International Gordon Campbell and Managing Director of SPAR China Tobias Washmuht.

Lehman, Lee and Xu helped Spar to set up a Hong Kong holding company, through which the law firm also established for SPAR a wholly foreign owned enterprise (WFOE) to provide consulting services to its China members.

The unique SPAR business model allows wholesalers and retailers to cooperate worldwide while retaining their local independence. Currently, SPAR has member stores in Shandong, Henan, Hubei, Guangong and Hainan provinces, with plans to have 125 SPAR supermarkets operating in China within three years.

Lehman, Lee & Xu is a top-tier Chinese corporate law firm with a strong international practice. The firm currently has offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Macau and Mongolia. The firm is managed by Mr. Edward Lehman, who has twenty years of legal experience in China.
