(PRLEAP.COM) Julia Ogilvy was awarded the coveted title of Social Entrepreneur of the Year last night during the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Scotland region awards ceremony. During the announcement, the former Managing Director of Hamilton and Inches who was crowned Scottish Businesswoman of the Year in 2001, was praised for her dedication when she turned her back on the business world to immerse herself in setting up the organisation which is transforming young lives across Scotland.

Julia said, “I am thrilled to receive the award. I am incredibly proud of ProjectScotland and what we have achieved in just 2 years. I truly believe we are making a difference throughout Scotland. Not only are we giving valuable experience, skills and confidence to the young volunteers but we are significantly increasing the capacity of the voluntary sector whilst having a huge impact in local communities and the economy overall. I am incredibly excited about continuing our success in the future”

ProjectScotland has just celebrated its 2nd birthday and 1 million hours of volunteering committed to local communities.
