DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF NATIONAL SECURITY AGENCY TO ADDRESS TECH COUNCIL OF MARYLAND/MdBIO EVENT

Rockville, MD (June 23, 2007) – The Tech Council of Maryland/MdBio (TCM/MdBio), in conjunction with the Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO), announced today that John C. Inglis, deputy director of the National Security Agency (NSA), will be the keynote speaker for its upcoming "Selling to NSA" conference on Tuesday, June 26th.

"Selling to NSA" is a program created to show participants how their companies can do business with the NSA. In addition to Mr. Inglis, several other NSA officials will be speaking on NSA-related topics; such as, industry outreach, information technology, acquisition, installation and logistics, and commercial solutions. The NSA coordinates, directs, and performs highly-specialized activities to protect U.S. government information systems and to produce foreign signals intelligence information.

Mr. Inglis has been the deputy director of the NSA since August 2006. As the senior civilian at NSA, he acts as the agency’s chief operating officer, guiding and directing strategies and policy, and serves as the principal advisor to the director.

“NSA’s mission requires them to work with cutting-edge equipment and technology, which creates a great opportunity for our members,” said Julie Coons, Chief Executive Officer of TCM/MdBio. “In the three years since our last NSA program, new procurement opportunities have become available, and the best way to learn about selling to them is through this conference.”

"Selling to NSA" is the latest installment in TCM/MdBio’s Federal Marketplace Series, a full schedule of educational and networking events designed to teach attendees how to do business with various federal government agencies.

The cost to attend this conference is $60 for TCM/MdBio members and $90 for non-members. More information about "Selling to NSA" and other TCM/MdBio events can be found at the association’s website: https://www.techcouncilmd.com/events/.
