E-consultancy’s ‘What’s New In Online Marketing’ event (London, 23rd June) is aimed at marketers that know a little – or a lot – about the web, to help them understand what’s on the horizon, as well as what is working well today.

There has never been a better time to do business on the internet, though the competition is smarter than ever before. With this in mind, E-consultancy created a one-day event to help intermediate and advanced marketers learn how to stay one step ahead of their peers.

E-consultancy CEO, Ashley Friedlein, comments, “We talked to leading adopters in the US, as well as our own corporate subscribers, to find out what they felt were the most important emerging areas for online marketing and e-commerce for the next 12 months.

“If you want to stay competitive in an increasingly sophisticated market, where customers have ever higher expectations, then you really need to be looking seriously at these areas now.”

Forward-thinking marketers should attend the event to hear from some of the internet’s savviest brains who will answer the following questions:

• Given changing customer behaviour, and increasing competition, what are the opportunities online to really stand out?

• With the growth of broadband penetration and technologies like RSS and XML, what does this mean for online content?

• With increasingly saturated markets and savvy competitors, how can you make sure you stay one step ahead?

• How can you deliver your customers an outstanding experience without breaking the bank?

• And how does online best integrate with other channels?

Speakers include some major names in internet marketing, with a keynote speech from Dr Simon Murdoch (CEO, FriendsAbroad.com; former Amazon VP for Europe; investor in Betfair, VideoIsland, Shazam).

Other speakers include Dr Mike Baxter (CEO, SalesLogiq), John Ousby (Head of Distribution Technologies, BBC), Tim Brown (UK MD, 24/7 Real Media), Mark Rogers (CEO, Market Sentinel), Paul Philips (CEO and founder, Touch Clarity) and Jeff Hunt (VP, Scene7 International).
