CONCERN hosts foster care informational meetings in July

CONCERN, a Berks County area foster care agency, will present two foster parenting informational meetings for the Reading Pennsylvania area (Fleetwood and Wyomissing) during June.

CONCERN will host two informational meetings for prospective foster parents in July. The first meeting will be Monday, July 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. at its Greater Berks Regional office site, One West Main Street, Fleetwood. The second meeting will be Monday, July 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. at its Wyomissing branch office, 1120-B Hobart Avenue, Wyomissing.

CONCERN staff will explain foster care basics, who is eligible to become a foster parent, types of children in care and will answer questions. In addition to Treatment Foster Care, CONCERN offers foster care for children with disabilities and foster/adopt programs.

CONCERN provides foster care, counseling, community life skills and delinquency services to abused, neglected and delinquent children and to families in need. It serves over 500 children each and every day in eastern Pennsylvania and Maryland, including over 110 children through its Greater Berks Regional office, which has sites in Fleetwood, Wyomissing and York.
