Developed by experienced junior grade school teacher, Melitsa Avila, the activities are all educational and age appropriate, with the developmental stages clearly highlighted. Play-activities.com is the brainchild of Melitsa Avila, trained teacher and mom to two smiley, active boys. She says:

My Mom was very creative, and I wanted to offer the same range of fun activities to my own children. I started searching for activities that were fun, but that did not break the bank. During my research, I discovered that many parents I spoke to really wanted to play games and do fun things with their children, but did not know where to begin - they lacked ideas and confidence.

She adds:

I decided to put together a whole host of free, fun activities, both from my own childhood, and from educational resources, with the aim of getting parents and kids playing, laughing and learning together. I have always tried to inject fun into learning, and in my experience as a teacher, I found that kids learn more when they are having fun. The daily email offers parents a new and exciting activity to try at home each day and both children and parents will really benefit by spending quality time together having fun.
