(NASHVILLE, TN — June 27, 2007) On June 26th, The Charlie Daniels Band will release their newest album, Live From Iraq (Blue Hat/Koch Records). The two disc set includes thirteen songs picked from four performances recorded in Iraq when the Charlie Daniels Band performed for US/Multinational Troops as part of the Stars for Stripes Tour.

The war-torn country of Iraq is the backdrop for Live From Iraq, which is The Charlie Daniels Band's 19th release on Blue Hat Records.

The release features a bonus DVD containing never before seen documentary footage including an Easter service in Ur at the House of Abraham. During the band's time in Iraq, they entertained and visited with troops fighting the war on terror. They made stops in Arifjan, Baghdad, Tallil, Fallujah and other operating bases.

“I’ll never forget my trips to Iraq, having the honor of visiting with the heroes so far away from home who stand in harms way daily to keep the torch of freedom burning brightly. It is with great love, admiration, respect and gratitude that I dedicate this project to the men and women who wear the military uniform of The United States of America, past, present and future," says Daniels.

While promoting the release, Charlie Daniels will be making a series of appearances in Washington, DC. He is scheduled to appear on Fox News Channel’s Hannity & Colmes on Monday (6-25) and The Bill Bennett Show on Tuesday (6-26). Interviews with Daniels on Voice of America’s Live Music Show, Border Crossings with host Larry London and The Pentagon Channel will air over the July 4th weekend. Also that weekend is a one-hour radio special, produced by Huntsman Entertainment, on radio stations across the country. In the special, Daniels shares his thoughts and feelings from the tour.
