TrialNet Launches New Vendor Connect Service

June 27, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Business News
Richmond, VA, June 27, 2007 — TrialNet, Inc., a leading provider of Web-based management and e-billing tools for the legal profession, announced today the launch if its new Vendor Connect service, designed to help corporate clients manage their legal service providers, such as court reporting, photocopying and scanning and electronic discovery.

Vendor Connect automatically sends RFPs to vendors offering legal support services; the vendors selected will then send their invoices through TrialNet’s electronic billing system–the same system used for law firm bills–for direct payment from the client. “It’s a win-win,” said Debbie Weaver, TrialNet’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “The client gets lower costs and the law firms no longer have to carry the costs for these services until they are reimbursed by the client.”

For court reporting, TrialNet also offers a repository where the court reporting vendor(s) can upload all depositions for that client into a customized system so the client and their outside counsel can to electronically review, download and print any deposition at any time. Depositions can be deposited into different databases as they are uploaded by the court reporters, such as: ‘expert witness’ database, ‘client only’ database and ‘other witness’ database. These databases have search capabilities that allow users to browse through the entire databases or narrow down the search criteria by selecting specialty, plaintiff or defense witness, matter name, etc.

“Corporate counsel have long been working to keep costs under control with better selection and management processes for their law firms,” said Kelley Johnston, President and C.E.O of TrialNet. “We are pleased to be able provide a tool to help them do the same for their legal service providers.”
