WINSCRIBE SIGNS ISV AGREEMENT WITH RIM TO GIVE BLACKBERRY CUSTOMERS ENHANCED DICTATION CAPABILITIES

July 05, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Technology News
WinScribe, world leading provider of digital dictation software, has become an Independent Software Vendor (ISV) with Research in Motion (RIM), the manufacturer of the ever popular Blackberry device to develop innovative digital dictation solutions for Blackberry users. This will give customers an integrated dictation solution, which will maximise time, improve security and increase productivity.

This latest development means that WinScribe users will gain from greater levels of workforce productivity, enhancing the WinScribe experience and workflow management with increased flexibility, improved system manageability and better data security all via their Blackberry. Most importantly for organisations in more sensitive sectors such as legal, healthcare and law enforcement, it also means that with Blackberry’s advanced security features they can manage their WinScribe dictation without putting sensitive information at risk.

Philip Vian, managing director of WinScribe Europe explains, “This alliance direct with the manufacturer means there will be a WinScribe integrated dictation solution available that will be fully compatible with Blackberry devices.”

“This alliance will allow customers to dramatically improve their workflow management processes, by having unlimited access to all dictation functions whenever they need it from the office or remotely. The added security features of the Blackberry also ensures complete confidentiality of client information." Vian concludes.

As a Blackberry Independent Software Vendor (ISV), WinScribe will receive support and resources from RIM, which will help it to develop and sell WinScribe solutions to Blackberry users.
