IS IT LOVE OR IS IT ADDICTION? 15 – 17 September 2007

July 09, 2007 (PRLEAP.COM) Lifestyle News
Love is a fact of life. No one escapes its effects. A love relationship can be the most profound experience or a place of confusion, hurt and injury. However, addictive love can creep into the best of relationships. The challenges facing those suffering from love addiction is to learn what true love is and is not, to acknowledge addictive elements, to build on the best aspects of love and to help establish a way of loving that bonds us with others and yet allows us our freedom.

Life Works (www.lifeworkscommunity.com), one of Europe’s leading addiction treatment centres, is inviting Dr Brenda Schaeffer - an internationally known author, experienced therapist and speaker over from the USA to offer her experience as a psychotherapist on the very emotive subject of love and addiction. She will advise couples that are ready to have healthier love lives and to move beyond co-dependency, compulsive love and romance and sex addiction. The workshop is also aimed at professionals wanting to learn more about this relationship problem.

The workshop objectives are:

- To identify and understand what love addiction is and the 3 different types - love, sex and romance.
- To identify ways to build healthy and unhealthy relationships.
- To develop techniques to explore beliefs and fears that prevent real intimacy.
- To identify the 7 steps to healthy love.
- To discover and challenge personal obstacles to healthy love.

The three-day course costs £695 per person and will take place at Life Works London premises which are found at:

Life Works
No.4 Duke Street
London
