See the whimsical art of Washington DC based artist Heather Levy. Hear the soaring melodies of the Basso Moderno Duo. Taste many different flights of Dogfish Head beer. Experience sensory overload on Saturday, August 11, from 6 PM to 8 PM located at 205 Lavinia Street, Milton DE. Admission is Free.

205 Lavinia Street Gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition of paintings by Heather Levy. A lifelong passionate painter, Ms. Levy’s work draws from her experience and education in New York, Boston, France and Spain. Her work has appeared in group and solo exhibitions in many cities including New York City and Washington, DC. A multi-disciplinary artist, Ms. Levy also creates music videos and short films. The Basso Moderno Duo is excited to partner with 205 Lavinia Street Gallery throughout this summer. The Basso Moderno Duo has commissioned over 100 lyrical works for solo bass and piano by some of the world's most prominent and exciting living composers from 35 countries and all 7 continents. Composers who have written for this dynamic duo include, Ned Rorem, Lee Hoiby, Pauline Oliveros and Yoko Ono-Lennon. Solobassist, Dr. Allan Von Schenkel’s, soulful virtuosic style is the perfect compliment to the focused intensity of Kristen Williams’ piano playing. The Basso Moderno Duo is currently collaborating with several professional dance companies including Bosma Dance, Isabel Gotzkowsky and Friends, and Ronnie Cavalluzzi & The Patricia M. Sitar Center. Future engagements include the Capital Fringe Festival in Washington, DC and the Basically Modern Contemporary Arts Festival 2007 in Rehoboth Beach, DE. Lauded throughout the world, honors include numerous medals at the Great American Beer Festival and World Beer Cup and recommendations from Wine Enthusiast. Dogfish Head Craft Brewery, known for its adventurous specialty craft beers; was founded in 1995 by Mr. Sam Calagione.

205 Lavinia Street Gallery, an Art/Health/Development Gallery on the Delmarva Peninsula presents a full season of art exhibits, performances, workshops, and health services. Currently on exhibit is “Tapestries of a Higher Planes” by William Anderson – a visual artist from Rockport Maine, who draws inspiration from Henry David Thoreau and N.C. Wyeth. Artists featured in previous exhibitions include painter Emanuela Harris-Sintamarian, painter Karoline Wileczek, poet Gerry LaFemina, and Venetian glass artist Marilyn Nugent. 205 Lavinia Street Gallery hosts a series of festivals and workshops including the “John Milton Poetry Festival” “Resonance Repatterning” and “Vocal Master Class with Sarah McCarron”.
