Bothell, WA July 25, 2007 — Scotsman Guide, the leading resource for mortgage originators, has announced that it recently won two international awards. In the Trade, Association and Business Publications International's (TABPI) 4th annual competition, Scotsman Guide received Tabbie Awards Honorable Mentions in TABPI's Best Department and Best Opening Page or Spread Categories.

The department award was given to Scotsman Guide's Spotlight, a monthly department that analyzes mortgage-industry and real estate trends in a city or regional market. Scotsman Guide associate editor Ivanna Sukkar penned the award-winning pieces for Scotsman Guide's August and November 2006 residential editions.

The award-winning spread was for "A Growing Market," an article by Bonnie Wolferd of AIG United Guaranty on marketing to women. It appeared in Scotsman Guide's March 2006 residential edition. Scotsman Guide marketing manager and former production manager Deb Choat designed the spread, which included an illustration by contributing illustrator Keith Negley.

The department winner can be seen at http://www.tabpi.org/2007/2007e.htm, and the spread can be seen at http://www.tabpi.org/2007/2007ops.htm.

According to its Web site, TABPI endeavors to bring together editors working for English-language publications worldwide and encourage a common dedication to editorial ethics and excellence.
